The Bursary

ACES understands that children should be able to experience arts and culture activities as they help to enrich and expand their artistic minds. ACES also believes that there can be many monetary restrictions that prevent families from registering their children in arts activities.

ACES Kids in the Arts Program’s purpose is to foster an early involvement and continuation in the arts by providing bursaries to children from families facing financial barriers. By doing so, children can participate in registered arts and culture activities in the Edson area so that they can experience the lifelong benefits of being exposed to the arts.

ACES Kids in the Arts Program will provide bursaries to children up to 50% of the cost of the arts and culture program offered in the area.

Arts & Culture Programs

Subject to availability and need, applications for art & culture programs held in and around the Town of Edson will be given preference.

The types of programs relating to this bursary are, but are not limited to:

Eligibility Requirements

Individuals who are eligible for this bursary must meet the following criteria:

• Live in or around the Edson area
• 18 years of age or younger
• 18 year olds must be registered in grade school
• Arts & culture programs in and around the Town of Edson will be given preference
• Reduced financial means

How To Apply

Submissions may be made using our online application form:

Be sure to complete all sections of the application, as incomplete applications take much longer to process, and can cause delays in receiving your bursary.

Attach cost of the arts activity or program to which you are applying. Attach a sponsorship letter from someone other than a family member who can attest to the financial restraints faced by the children’s family.

Your completed registration form will be processed within 30 days of being received. If you qualify for ACES Kids in the Arts funding, the bursary will be sent directly to the arts program your child has signed up for.

Application Deadlines

1. June 15th
2. September 15th
3. April 15th

Applicants are encouraged to apply for the ACES Kids in the Arts Bursary with as much lead time as possible.
